They are also illegal due to the 8.5 in. width. I've heard some of the British hillclimb drivers think they work great, supposed to grip pretty well cold and get to temp real quick. Looked at them a few years back after talking to a driver running a mini ( old one) in DP. Besides if they were quicker everybody would have em in about 2 weeks! Dave P.
