I had a similar problem when I used Digatron/AMW. Mine was connected
directly to the coil using the tach lead supplied from Digatron. The
Digatron tach lead has a small diode (I think...maybe a resistor?)
attached to the wire. When my tach stopped working it was because the
diode broke away from the wire. Naturally, I didn't find this out until
I sent the unit to Digatron for service and it tested OK.

We have tried 2 different RPM sensor leads, but no luck. I've spoken with Digatron several times and tried everything they suggested, but no luck. The unit was sent back to Digatron for refurbishing before we installed it and they insist that they tested all functions sucessfully...

The black wire from the probe is connected to the otherside of the kill switch (which is grounded to the engine). I have also connected a ground wire between the Digatron itself and the engine at the request of the Digatron tech.
