[F500] what brake pad compounds?

and going to blue gave me better balance...
 
John- I agree with Jeff.  I use Black for solo and works very well since it will work cold.  The blue takes a little temp to come in.  The black bites quickly and modulates well when you stab at it.
I use Blues all around for club racing in my car.  With unvented rotors and little ventilation they just start to fade at mid ohio.

The Hawk Blue is better for Roadracing. At the DC Tour I was using 
Hawk Black in the front and Hawk Blue in my single rear caliper. It was 
terrible! I kept dialing in more rear bias, trying to get it balanced 
but could not keep from locking up the front. At the Toledo Tour, we 
did a swap and put the Hawk black in the rear....made a big difference 
and gave good balance.
