[F500] Phoenix Monday

I was mistaken yesterday about Al being out. He broke the vacuum line and had replaced it but decided that since there was only three F500 left, he wouldn't qualify. He wanted to watch the game. At the start, Jeff squeezed jerry a little going into one, descretion being the better part of valor, jerry stayed on the banking and went around to re-enter ahead but suffering a one lap penality. Al, meanwhile spun in one all by himself. Got going again before the Vs got their start. Jeff ran off with it, Al caught Jerry but stayed behind him, knowing he had second. 

Best action of the day was in impound when an irate V driver had a "discussion" with Al. I definately think al had the best retorts. Of those I can print, Al saying. Who paid my entry fee? Next time, you pay it and I'll be happy to move over any time you are around me. And the classic, Al to V driver, stick that finger in my face again and I'll break it off. (he didn't) ... Nothing more than words happened and Jerry, Al, and I had many laughs in the trailer afterwards. Specal Thanks to Jeff Grabowski this weekend who was visiting Phoenix and helped me tremendously..... Fontana in two weeks. .... Gene
