  I'll be offline for an unknown period of time starting this evening.
  We had a small fire in the house and the computers are being taken out
  for service and cleaning tomorrow morning.  So, I'm unavailable for the
  duration.  And I was looking forward to a mindless weekend of Diablo II
  and engine discussions.  :-)

  The fire really was minor, a candle flared and set some silk flowers
  alight.  They tried to set the rest of the house on fire but my wife
  (gotta love her) heard it start and grabbed the extinguisher and killed
  the fire quickly, then called 911.  The firefighters applauded her
  quick action, checked for any spread into the wall/attic and left.  A
  small amount of wallboard needs to be replaced, the living room
  repainted and everything cleaned and deodorized.  It's amazing how far
  that five pounds of dry chemical traveled in the house!!!  But it's
  better than a smoking ruin, which is what we would have had without her
  quick action.  The insurance company is picking up most of the tab and
  the rest has to come out of the racecar fund, setting me back again.
  Oh well...
