I haven't run there since 99 (I moved out of the area), but I don't remember 
the track being 'rough', per se - at least not like Hallett or Nelson Ledges.  
It is not, however, a smooth pavement; the track surface is very abrasive, 
and can be hard on tires.

Personally, I really like the track, and the double school is a great event.  
I'd give it two thumbs up!
