Yeh...I'll "fess up"...I bought a used 493 and plan on putting in my
Novakar, since I'll be running just regionals for the next year, at
least. FYI, for anyone buying a used motor...I don't know what year
they started using it, but the newer motors have an "electronic" tether
as part of the wiring harness. I'm told that if the cap is missing, or
mis-matched, the motor will not run. It was part of Ski-doo's attempt to
reduce theft. If you are buying a used motor, make sure it has the
tether and that it is the correct match.
