Most guys racing, use between 10 & 12 in the front and 12 & 14 in the rear.
Your mileage may vary. The colder the day the lower the pressure for just
trying to get enough heat into the tires to get some grip. On the 35 degree
mornings it can take 3 to 4 laps to get enough heat into the tires so that
the initial turn in to a corner isn't terrifying....there is nothing like
turning the wheel and having the car plow straight ahead. Both Goodyear's
and Hoosiers normally operate in the range I specified, play around with the
pressures until they seem right for your driving style.
As you are aware from your FF days....COLD race tires are worse than driving
on ice. Hot race tires will stick forever.

Subject: [F500] Tire pressures...
I'm getting prepped to take my new toy out for a shakedown, and I have a
question. What would be a good set of tire pressures to start out with?
I'm
running Hoosiers on a Red Devil, and I should come in right at minimum
weight....
Thanks in advance,
