The nose is not blown up. It has a slight donut on it from Apple Knocker
(Amenson). I tucked in and couldn't get it done in time. He turned in and I
didn't get out of the way fast enough. It flipped the nose up, but it
flopped right back down. The sportscar nose is nice, but occasionally I
could do without it.....

Gary,
Thanks for the plug! The 500's are increasing by leaps and bounds lately at
Waterford. Grabowski and I were just doing a little figuring on car counts.
We should have one of the biggest classes next season at Waterford. All of
the guys in our group are good friends and good people. Our rookie class
this season came on strong and had a lot of help. There's no reason we
can't help get you up to speed as well should you choose to come play with
us.
Most of the cars are competitive at Waterford. Some more than others, but
you'll have fun no matter what. Depending on what day you were out to the
track, you saw older Red Devils, newer KBS's and a momentarily competitive
Novakar. The reliability is directly related to the amount of time/money
you throw at the car. More time than money. They do require some prep work
to keep them competitive and reliable. We'll help you and you'll learn what
needs to be done between races to ensure an enjoyable weekend. The money
you'll need is related to how fast parts wear out and whether you crash.
Still a boat load cheaper than fixing anything else on the track though.
Send an email if you'd like,
Bob Gebhardt

Was at Waterford Hills Raceway (Northern Detroit Suburbs) and was
fascinated with
the F500 cars run at the local club. Have been racing my 924 in PCA Club
Racing and looking for something local to do.
Want to start with a good, reliable, inexpensive as possible car.
Not looking for one to win a national run off but something fun and
sort of competitive to use at Waterford mostly.
Appreciate any impute on what to look for, pro-cons, possible
cars available, etc.
Thanks
Gary
