Cory McLeod didn't make it to the 'Pointer' coming out of the false grid as
smoke was coming from the cockpit.  Ron Hyman touched the curb on the front
straight 'jog' and spun hard into the wall along the front straight at the
start.
The Race Group consisted of 13 F500's and 14 FV.  There were several double
yellow/pace car laps as Mike Womer spun an high centered himself and had to
get flat towed back onto the track.
 
The new chicane on the back straight is the absolute worst piece of track
design and implementation that I have seen in my 15 years competiting and in
35 years of spectating.  Whoever takes credit for this design should be hung
using very fine piano wire!!!!
