I'll second that... way to go Brian! And he's just about the nicest
guy you'll ever meet too. Seems to take after his dad Jay in that
respect...
Now, if we could just get a few more young, strong, fearless drivers
running those awesome Novakars...
Don... how the heck do you expect to sell these things when the
average age of Novakar drivers is just slightly lower then the NASDAQ?
And yes... I'm including myself in that calculation. And Don sold MY
Runoffs ride to Gene Rolf (who's I've heard is only 50 something...)!
Well, at least she went to a good home.
All kidding aside... we have a great field at Mid Ohio this year, and
almost all of them are on the F500 list! I miss having Jeff Jorgenson
to root for, and I'm sad that Gene Rolf couldn't bring my favorite
girl (The artist formerly known as #63 Red Novakar) out to play.
But Charlie!!! I sold you MY baby (formerly the #9 KBS Mk-8) and told
you to let her run... where are you? She's the only car I've ever
owned that hasn't been to the Runoffs. Next year I'd better see you in
my mirrors through Madness or I'm going to come and take her back! :-)
I'm also very sad that Bob Gelles didn't make it out this year... I
think he had a great program together and would have had something to
say in the results this year. I hope to see you again at Phoenix for
the Double National in January Bob! Wadda ya say we trade wins again?
Only this time, please don't make me look so bad on Saturday, OK? You
don't have to pull out *THAT* much of a margin. Sheesh...one little
spin and...
Between Brian and Elivan, Calvin and Kenny and Rusty, Tom and Fred,
Steve (remember, painted side up... ok bud?), Darrell (If Steve blows
it, I expect video again!), Greg, Jonathan, Neal, Ken, Bill...
jeeez... you guys all seem like friends and family to me. I don't
know who to root for... So I'll root for all of you!!!!!
Oh yeah... and Don and Chico too!!! (You fast guys... be nice! Try not
to run over your elders! :-)
It's the "Olympics of Motor sports" folks... an experience that you
earned, and hopefully an experience that you will savor. Have a GREAT
time, enjoy the experience and above all, be safe! I can't wait to
hear the race reports! :-)
Best wishes to all the competitors and their crews for a safe and
memorable Runoffs. Drink it in and enjoy it... you'll get to tell your
kids (or grandchildren) about this someday....
I wish I could be there this year! But I will be back soon! Hey...
someone has to race with Don and Chico! :-) :-)
And p.s. Thanks to all of you for making the F500 mailing list and
website such a success! I'm very happy and proud to be have been able
to contribute to F500 community by establishing website and mailing
list.
Cheers-
