front in F500, however it was a sad day...

Road America - For Immediate Release
SCCA Driver Fatality, Roscoe, Ill., Driver Involved in One-Car Racng Incident

Elkhart Lake, Wisc., July 28, 2002 - Robert Kasik, 56, of Roscoe, Ill., was 
pronounced dead at Valley View Hospital, in Plymouth Wisc., by Sheboygan 
County Coroner Dave Leffin. Kasik was involved in a one-car incident at 
Road America's Turn 12, also called Canada Corner. Kasik was transpoprted 
to Valley View where he was pronounced dead at 11:13am. The cause of death 
is pending outcome of the autopsy. Kasik was competing in an SCCA national 
race at Road America.

Witnesses said Kasik failed to slow the car for the turn and went off 
course at a high rate of speed. SCCA technical inspectors could not 
determine the cause of the incident from inspecting the car, a 1996 
Chevrolet Camaro competing in the GT-1 Class.
