What kind of primary is it?
Was it an actual hardened tool?
Some heat should not be a problem,
just don't go crazy with the torch.
The alu. clutch should expand much
quicker than the crank. We have
even ran a small water hose behind
the item being pulled to protect the
shaft or seals. You also might try
some EP ( extreme pressure ie. moly)
grease on the pullers threads and the
"nose" of it before you go to the heat.
I've never seen a clutch not "pop" off
unless it's been on the motor about 20 years.
