Karin,
You are absolutely correct.
For over 40 years racing has been a part of my life.
Our entire family, including grand parents, have always been involved.
Greg and I have spent countless hours working on remote control cars, go
carts, VWs, Mazda RX7s and for the last ten years F440s and 500s.
These have been some of the most enjoyable times of my life and I consider
my self very fortunate.
I suspect the same can be said by all the other father son/daughter teams
out there.
The F500 family is an extension of this family and is the finest I have
ever encountered in all forms of racing.
This interaction is much more important than the racing.
The race is over in 40 minutes, but the "family" is there all the time.
Yes, we are competitors, but don't take it too seriously.
There is not a single person, constructors included, who can make a living
only working on or racing F5s.
This whole thing is about having fun and enjoying the interaction with the
"family".
My two cents as well.
